There are changes in the wind around here....occupational changes. Well, that is if this project we're working on will ever end. I've had one week left on this job for the past month or so. Damned inspector/QA keeps nit pickin us to death.

So about this change I'm talking about, which turns out isn't really a change. But then again since I am changing jobs I guess it is a change. Confused yet? No...good.

So here's the scoop, a few week ago an old foreman from my rock quarry days called and informed me that they were planning to reopen one of the old quarries and would I be interested in coming back. Now I had already been offered a job by another contractor who was going to remodel the ER at the hospital where I'm working now. So suddenly I had a choice to make. Another job at the hospital or the quarry. Well even though I've gotten used to four day work weeks and hot lunches everyday and I rather enjoy the construction biz this job was only going to last a year. So to shorten this rather drawn out post I choose to go back to the quarry for the security it offered.

Gotta run 24 is starting. That's it for now. Later.

As most of you have noticed I've been on a little bit of a blog break. Not that I didn't want to post, it just got to a point that when I sat down to post I kept coming up with nothing. So I decided to just take a little break. It worked as some ideas for posts are starting to form again. As Melissa pointed out tonight it's about time for an update. And well she's right.

So how about we start this long overdue post with an update on how my quit smoking plan is going. It would be so easy to just sit here and tell you it's going great, after all how would you know it's not so. But truthfully it's not only not going good, it never got off the ground. Seems that just as I intended to try and quit everything that could produce stress in my life did just that. For example my pay check gets lost and I get it almost a week late. Not to worry, I have not ditched my plan to quit smoking it's just been postponed. That's it for now. Later.

Relaxing after a long day at work.

Last weekend was all about the young, the very young, as we all gathered for the baptism of my youngest brothers little baby girl. It's amazing the peaceful feeling a new born can bring over you. Especially when they are sleeping. That peaceful innocent glow they emit allows you to slip the bonds of this screwed up world and float along on a river of hopefulness for the future.

My brother, the proud papa and little Mary just before the start of the ceremony.

This picture speaks for itself.

It seems that when it comes to this blog posting thing I've fallen off the horse. I lost it for a while. But I'm far from ready to give this up so I'll just have to do what they all say and climb back up on this horse. Somehow I know I'll get it back together again. There's plenty bouncing around in my head I just need to come up with a way of shaking it out. Rest assured I'm working on it.

Last weekend I ended up dog sitting for my brother, yeah that's how exciting my life has been lately. Anyway during one of my trips to his house to let the dogs have their freedom for a while I managed to snap these pics.
